FULL TIME PRODUCER / ON-AIR HOST
Brazos Valley Public Broadcasting Foundation, doing business as KWBU-FM is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position with a qualified candidate that fits well with the small staff and works well with volunteers. Good on-air delivery, broadcast journalism experience and familiarity with NPR style reporting desired. Some weekend and holiday work is required as well as being available on short notice. A valid Texas drives license is required.
Job duties will include:
- Serving as All Things Considered host and back up host for Morning Edition
- Serving as primary producer for KWBU productions.
- Reporting on some local stories.
- Achieving proficiency with Enco automation system and serving as operations assistant
- Assisting in maintaining KWBU web site.
- Participating in on air fund drives.
- Other duties as assigned.
