BIO - NONE Brodie Bashaw,
FM Station Manager
brodieb@kwbu.org
(254)710-3695

From setting foot in the studio of KNCT in Killeen, Texas, Brodie knew she had found her dream profession. Working behind the scenes making the magic happen was a blast as a student and then as a TV board operator. As a hungry college student, a second job seemed ideal. Little did she know that the part time gig would turn into a seven-year, full-time job working mid-days on-air (as Ashley Nichols) and as copy writer for KOOV. Brodie returned to KNCT-FM as Program Manager before moving on to WMFE in Orlando Florida where she learned what all the public radio buzz was about. While in Orlando, news of a new NPR station in Waco was released and Brodie thought she'd apply in an attempt to come home. Brodie has been with KWBU-FM as Station Manager since June 5, 2000. She loves to play board games and card games. She is an avid fan of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and Weekend Edition Sunday (for the puzzler.) In addition to being the doting aunt to 9 nieces and nephews, Brodie has three canine companions – all Schnauzers.
