From 6 a.m. to 6p.m., Friday, May 6, 2011, 103.3 KWBU FM Waco's NPR will host an open house for listeners in the community. Listeners will have a chance to meet KWBU's Morning Edition Host, Brodie Bashaw, and All Things Considered Host, Derek Smith.
Memberships Help 103.3 FM Build A Habitat Home
WACO, TX--103.3 KWBU FM, Waco's NPR teams up with Habitat for Humanity and Foxworth Galbraith to help build Waco Habitat's 25th Anniversary House (#135). Starting Thursday April 28 through Friday, May 6, 2011 as 103.3 FM listeners call into the station, each membership donation over $100 garners two pieces of lumber from Foxworth Galbraith--500 pieces are needed to build the home--a goal of 250 memberships.

New Local Segment, Central Texas Leadership Series Strengthens Community Identity
In the coming weeks, KWBU will begin airing the Central Texas Leadership Series. The segment features four separate hosts: Executive Vice President of First National Bank of Central Texas Jim Haller, Dean of the School of Music at Baylor University Dr. William May, Director at Waco Convention and Visitors Bureau Liz Taylor and Independent Writing and Editing Professional Sandra Sanchez.

We've been preparing our budgets for KWBU-FM and TV over the last two months, and there's a gap between projected revenue and expenses for the next fiscal year. We've been talking with our partner, Baylor University, and for the coming year Baylor has pledged the same financial support as they provided this year. But that is their limit.
Marketplace Returns to 103.3 KWBU-FM
WACO, TEXAS April 15, 2010 -- Public radio station KWBU, 103.3 FM announces plans to air Marketplace, an entertaining high-energy program on world business and finance from American Public Media. Marketplace will begin airing weekdays, at 6:00 p.m. beginning Monday, May 3, 2010 following NPR's All Things Considered.
