Edwards addresses Ft. Hood shootingNov. 9, 2009
KWBU-FM will be bringing you live anchored coverage of the Ft. Hood Memorial Service Tuesday at 1 p.m. Among those attending will Representative Chet Edwards, whose district included the installation for more than a decade. He released a statement on the situation today.
Ft. Hood was a part of Edwards' district from 1991 through 2003. While in Washington for the house health care vote this weekend, Edwards addressed the Congress on a house resolution honoring those who lost their lives in last Thursday's shooting. He addressed the situation in anticipation of the memorial.
President Obama, army officials, and a number of Texas political leaders will be among those attending the memorial remembering those who lost their lives in the worst mass shooting on a military base in United States history. For KWBU news, I'm Derek Smith.
