H.O.T. Storytelling Guild Keeps Oral Tradition Alive
Nov. 13, 2009
Vivian Rutherford is a youth services librarian for the McLennan County Libraries. She is also an active member in the Heart of Texas Story Telling Guild. For her, story telling began at an early age:
Marian Fleischmann is also a participant in the guild. She's not a Texas native; she notices that storytelling and the themes in story telling can change depending on geography. A story teller's story and presentation, ultimately, depend on his or her audience.
The Heart of Texas Story Telling Guild usually meets on Saturday mornings at 10:30 in the downstairs meeting room of the McLennan county library on Austin Ave. But this Saturday they also have a special event,
a Telebration if you will.
More information on Telebration at 254 717 1763. For KWBU news I'm Jacqueline Deavenport.
