KWBU News FeedBaylor Falls Just Short Of Final Four
March 29, 2011
The Aggies accomplished last night what they couldn't in three prior meetings this season, defeating the Lady Bears in their fourth-go round this year. It was a disappointing end for Baylor, who fell behind early and could not climb out of the hole. Poor shooting from the field and free throw line ensured that the Lady Bears would never climb closer than 7 points behind A & M in the second half. Brittney Griner led the way for Baylor with 20 points, one of just two double figure scorers for the Lady Bears. Baylor color analyst and KWBU member Lori Fogleman explained from American Airlines Center in Dallas what allowed the Aggies to reverse their fortunes.
Senior Melissa Jones finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds in her final game in green and gold. Texas A & M advances to the Final four in Indianapolis; Baylor finishes with the most wins in program history and a 34-3 record. For KWBU News, I'm Derek Smith.
