Along with other superintendents across the state, Dr. Bonny Cain is dealing with budget uncertainty as she plans for the coming years. She grapples with this even as she continues to evaluate the district and strives to bring Waco ISD to an exemplary rating. Says Cain, she's beginning to formulate answers and has a bold vision for the district to be a part of tackling poverty. But questions remain about the money the district will have to work with.
