We are starting the holiday season with special programs on Wednesday, November 22nd.
Wednesday evening it’s Turkey Confidential - The Splendid Table’s annual Thanksgiving show. Francis Lam takes calls and comes to the rescue of Thanksgiving cooks, kitchen helpers, and inner guests during the biggest cooking day of the year. We will have this initial broadcast at 7pm with a repeat on Thanksgiving morning at 9am.
Wednesday night at 9pm it’s Every Good Thing. Host Andrea Blain and classical music fans from all around the country take some time to give thanks and celebrate one of life's most meaningful gifts: music. It's "Every Good Thing" — an hour of stories and music to celebrate Thanksgiving.
In addition to the encore broadcast of Turkey Confidential on Thanksgiving Day (9am) tune in for Giving Thanks at 11am. This program sounds the way Thanksgiving feels: inviting, warm, and festive. No clichés about pilgrims and pumpkin pies. Instead, it’s a contemporary, thoughtful celebration of spirit of the holiday. For listeners up early in the kitchen, on the road to a family gathering, or relaxing after the feast, Giving Thanks provides the perfect atmosphere for Thanksgiving: the warmth of great music, and truly memorable words.
And on Friday, November 24th at 9am we bring back a local favorite. Join us for Sharing Traditions and Carols of Christmas – a local favorite featuring music of the season along with delightful conversation between award winning songwriter of contemporary Christian Music, the late Kurt Kaiser – and his daughter Kris.
