I Hear America Singing - Puff Bunny Records

This week we celebrate Taylor Pie and her record label Puff Bunny Records. Founded in 2002, the label has recorded a series of well-received albums featuring several acts with long roots in the Texas Music Scene.

After leaving the Corpus Christi-based Pozo-Seco Singers in 1970, Susan Taylor changed her name to Taylor Pie and has been a part of Nashville’s Folk Scene ever since with such songs as 'So Little Has Changed' and 'Like a Wheel'.

Michael Hearne has been active at Kerrville Folk Festivals since its beginnings and now hosts his own annual Big Barn Dance in Taos. Shake Russell has also been a regular at Kerrville for many years we hear him performing 'Deep in The West' with frequent partner Dana Cooper in 1979.

Together Hearne and Russell perform 'Evergreen'. Then we share some other recent releases including Janie Rothfield and Allan Carr;s rendition of 'Chilly Winds'. Tiffany Williams and Dalton Mills with 'Gold Watch and Chain'.
