- Saturday Aug. 15 is free day at the Dr. Pepper Museum
- The Funky Junk Round Up is Aug. 15 at the Waco Convention Center
- The YMCA is offering 5k training sessions starting Monday
- Thursday, the Blue Horse and Mission Waco's Fair Trade Market host an open house with clothing and gifts from around the world
