KWBU seeks an energetic person to fill the full time Producer/Reporter/Host position. The ideal candidate will have experience in broadcast journalism, familiarity with NPR style reporting, audio editing, web and automation experience.
FULL TIME PRODUCER / REPORTER / ON-AIR HOST
Brazos Valley Public Broadcasting Foundation, doing business as KWBU-FM is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position with a qualified candidate that fits well with the small staff and works well with volunteers. Good on-air delivery, broadcast journalism experience and familiarity with NPR style reporting desired. Some weekend and holiday work is required as well as being available on short notice. A valid Texas drivers license is required.
Job duties will include:
- Serving as primary producer for KWBU productions.
- Achieving proficiency with ENCO automation system; work with Station Manager on automated programming.
- Occasional feature reporting.
- Serving as back up host for Morning Edition.
- Assisting in maintaining KWBU web site and social media.
- Participating in on air fund drives.
- Other duties as assigned.
