Digital Media Coordinator
 Part-Time with option to Full-Time
KWBU, Waco's NPR member station, seeks a tech-native part-time specialist to expand its digital presence and revenue streams. This 20–25 hours/week role drives online engagement, monetization, and analytics to support sustainability and engagement for Waco Public Radio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, update, and optimize KWBU's website with fresh daily content, events, underwriting opportunities, and listener resources
  • Manage social media integration across platforms, creating posts, stories, and reels to grow followers and promote on-air shows, events, and fundraising
  • Work with marketing team to analyze opportunities for boosting, monetization, and development of new digital media campaigns and content
  • Lead digital monetization efforts: innovate and develop opportunities such as podcast ads, newsletter sponsorships, and affiliate links
  • Analyze and improve digital footprint: Monitor Wikipedia page accuracy, track Reddit mentions, post strategically, and report on metrics like traffic, engagement, and conversion to underwriting leads
  • Develop and manage digital platforms for podcast distribution, ensuring consistent publishing, maintenance, and optimization across channels to maximize audience reach and engagement
  • Manage and distribute a weekly newsletter that engages listeners, supports membership growth, and advances digital sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 1–2 years in digital marketing, social media, or web management; public media or nonprofit experience preferred
  • Proficiency in writing, communication, graphic design software, social media management, Meta Business Suite
  • Data-driven mindset for ROI tracking
  • Familiarity with Wikipedia editing guidelines, Reddit best practices, and SEO and AI integrations
  • Strong writing for web/social; passion for public radio and Waco community
  • Associate's or Bachelor's in marketing, communications, or related field
Compensation & Benefits
  • $20-25/hour (20–25 hours/week), commensurate with experience

  • Opportunity for full-time employment after 6-12 months, contingent on performance and available funding
