The weekly 4-minute segment is a glimpse of what you'll find on the Act Locally Waco events calendar.

Act Locally Waco on the radio spotlights a few local happenings coming up in the next week.  On this edition  you'll hear about Christmas in July at Board and Brush, 'The Rewind" 80's night at the Baylor Club, an IMPROV JAM at Slapstix, the Waco Civic Theatre presentation of Shrek the musical, Jr. and more.

Host Debbie Wright joins KWBU's Beth Richards to highlight events from CAST for Kids, Fabled Bookstop & Cafe, Rogue Media Network, the Susan L. Sistrunk Fine Art Gallery, the Family Abuse Center, Caritas, and of course, the weekend's annual Deep in the Heart Film Festival.

A familar voice is guest hosting this week....Ashley Bean Thornton joins Brodie Bashaw on Act Locally Waco.  This week highlights the City of Waco Job Fair, the Deep in the Heart Film Festival, third Sunday at Eastside Market, a Waco Alzheimer's Association fundraiser, the Waco Civic Theatre run of Little Women, comedy at the Brazos Theatre and two showcases at the Susan L. Sistrunk Fine Art Gallery.  

From the return of Waco Walks to styrofoam recycling and lots of entertainment, here are some events happening in and around Waco this week.
