Beto O'Rourke Packs Mutualista Hall in Waco

O’rourke gave an hour long speech at Mutualista Hall in Waco, covering Veterans issues, guns violence, the needs of rural America, and a host of other issues. The main theme of his speech largely focused on inclusion to heavy rounds of applause.

That didn’t stop O’rourke from making comments about Trump when asked during the Q&A session. He accused some members of congress of pledging fealty to Trump. He also brought up collusion. Quoting conservative columnist George Will, O'Rourke said "There may not have been collusion in 2016 but on that stage in Helsinki last month was collusion in action"

The senate candidate showed some levity when talking about recent attack ads against his campaign. “You may not know this but Beto O’Rourke wants to legalize Heroin" O'Rourke said, "That’s one of the first ads that’s been released. I have a little bit of faith in all of us. I think that we're smarter than that stuff." O’Rourke recently raised 1.2 million dollars to respond to those attack ads with what his campaign calls “positive ads” Recent polls show O’Rourke trailing Ted Cruz between 2 and 6 points.
