Last month, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law the state's newly drawn congressional maps, and the battle over those maps has just begun in court.
Groups representing Black and Latino voters filed lawsuits to keep them from taking effect. They argue the new congressional maps intentionally and illegally reduce their voting power.
