The city of Waco has begun construction for the Highway 84 Wastewater project.
The project will include modernizing wastewater technology, pavement repairs, adding erosion controls, and more, all along Highway 84.
Construction will affect usage of the Waco Cotton Belt Trail until the summer of 2024.
The section of the trail impacted will stretch from the trailhead entrance at Trailblazer Park all the way to Church Road.
But, trail users will still have access to the part of trail that extends from the parking lot at Church Road, to the trailhead entrance at the Waco Regional Landfill on Hannah Hill Road.
