Texas veterans can mark their calendars today for Texas Veterans Legal Aid Week, beginning tomorrow, November 4th, and running through November 11th.
Legal aid programs, bar associations, and pro bono lawyers will offer free civil legal services to eligible veterans all across the state.
Thirteen nonprofit organizations have received grant funding to support veterans. Last year, over 6,300 Texas veterans received assistance.
On November 9th, the Heart of Texas Veterans One Stop will be hosting a legal advice event from 2 PM to 5 PM here in Waco where veterans and their families can receive support from attorneys and Baylor University law students.
