A look inside Waco Family Medicine's new facility, now open to the public

The $65 million facility provides a myriad of medical and wellness services all under one roof.

After years of anticipation, Waco Family Medicine officially opened its doors to the public yesterday at 1600 Providence Drive. The 143,000 square-foot facility cost $65 million.

Serving over 60,000 patients last year, Waco Family Medicine operates at more than a dozen locations across central Texas. It primarily assists uninsured or underinsured patients, offering healthcare through an income-based program.

The new facility combines multiple medical services in just one building. Individuals can see a primary care physician, physical therapist, medical specialist, pharmacist and dentist all under one roof.

Patients can also access community resources, go to the facility gym, and participate in the Wellness Center, where they can learn how to grow and cook their own healthy food from professionals.

Community organizations can also partner with Waco Family Medicine to address issues impacting residents, such as affordable housing.
