On Tuesday, the Waco City Council unanimously voted to appoint Ryan Holt as Waco’s next City Manager. Holt has been a Waco Assistant City Manager since 2019, and spent 23 years prior to that with the Waco Police Department in various leadership positions, including Chief of Police.

"He has spent his entire career in service to the city of Waco, both in our police department and in our city manager’s office," Council Member Josh Borderud said at Tuesday's meeting. "He has proven himself to be a man of integrity and an effective leader of our staff."

Holt will succeed outgoing City Manager Bradley Ford, who announced his resignation late last year.
