SHOUT! Black Gospel Music Moments - "Little Jesus Boy" by The Vilionaires

The Violinaires’ doo-wop version of “Little Jesus Boy” will bring back many happy Christmas memories.

For as long as they’ve been together and for as many hits as they’ve had, it’s hard to picture the Violinaires as underrated ... but they are often overlooked when folks mention the greatest quartets of all time.

Led by the amazing Robert Blair, the Violinaires’ hits -- “Another Soldier Gone,” “Three Pictures of the Lord,” “Stand By Me,” “Children, Are You Ready” -- often feature the group’s distinctive treble harmonies.

They also released a handful of Christmas related songs, including a sweet and memorable version of “Little Jesus Boy,” sung in the style of the great doo-wop groups of the ‘50s.
