In Episode 62 of Downtown Depot, show host Austin Meek interviews Dr. Jane Damron. Damron, a senior lecturer in the department of communication at Baylor, was recently voted as the Collins Outstanding Professor by the school's senior class. She discusses how she engendered such fondness among the student body and gives tips on how listeners can improve their personal communication skills.

Before that interview, Austin Hooper overviews Waco's ascendent housing market in "The Residential Recap," and Gregg Glime discusses the effects of multimodal transportation on retail in "What's Happening Here?"

Austin Meek

Austin Meek is an entrepreneur based in Waco, Texas. For his media company, Waco Business News, he documents Waco's economic revitalization and hosts the radio show and podcast, “Downtown Depot,” on 103.3 KWBU-FM. For Pokey O’s Cookies and Ice Cream, a food truck and storefront that he owns and operates with his wife, he serves as Chief Cookie Monster. Additionally, he is developing a retail and entertainment center on Elm Avenue in East Waco. Austin and Julia are proud parents to their daughter, Stevie, age 1.
