SHOUT! Black Gospel Music Moments - "No Greater Love" by Keith Pringle and the Pentecostal Community Choir

For a while there in the ‘80s, Keith Pringle was THE MAN in gospel music – his songs and performances were everywhere. Pringle, who was something of a child prodigy, was “discovered” with his instantly memorable contributions to the Rev. James Cleveland’s iconic recording of “No Ways Tired.” He went on to found the Pentecostal Community Choir, which had numerous hits and scored a Grammy nomination.

Pringle didn’t record very often so when No Greater Love with the Pentecostal Community Choir was released in 1988, it was a big deal. The album is almost a duet with another brilliant singer/keyboardist/composer, Ricky Grundy, and was one of Savoy Records’ biggest hits. And the powerful title track – written by the great Jeffrey LaValley – is a gospel classic.
