Douglas Henry is Dean of the Honors College at Baylor University. With a Ph.D. in philosophy from Vanderbilt and a love for great literature, he’s taught students of all ages everything from Homer’s Iliad to Cormac McCarthy's The Road. He has made Waco home for over 20 years, and is deeply engaged in the local community, showing the usefulness of philosophy for life by developing a small pocket neighborhood, The Cloister at Cameron Park, and helping to launch Waco’s wonderful community bookshop, Fabled Bookshop & Cafe.

Heather White grew up in Waco, left after high school, and returned in 2019 to teach Art History classes at Baylor. Before lecturing at BU, she worked as a museum educator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, and taught for local organizations in DFW, Houston, and OKC. She lives in Woodway with her husband and three kiddos.

A love for people and the greater Waco community has always been the heart of Rachel’s work. A 2005 UT Austin graduate with a degree in English, Rachel began her career as a classroom English teacher. Through various professional opportunities in the education field, health and wellness industry, and the private business sector, she cultivated a love for building strong communities through service. She joined KWBU in August of 2023. She is also the Saturday Market Manager for the Waco Downtown Farmers Market. She has four nearly-grown children and loves tending her herbs and roses and growing things.

Ashley Goldberg-McKeown is the daughter-in-law of Jim McKeown, the founder of Likely Stories on KWBU. She too is a lover of books. A voracious reader from the age of 7, books are literally her happy place. Ashley said “I am a born and bred Wacoan, and this community has meant the world to me. Let's review some books!”
